Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd are recruiting Cover Supervisors in Staffordshire to work across a range of secondary schools. You will supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and on task, while supporting learning across subjects.

This role offers flexibility for daily supply, short-term placements or long-term opportunities, with opportunities to become a key part of school life within the department.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a school or education environment (essential).
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and support student learning effectively.
• Flexibility and adaptability across different school settings.
• A genuine interest in supporting young people's development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across Key Stages 3-5 following lesson plans provided by teaching staff.
• Maintain student engagement, behaviour, and safety.
• Support learning by assisting students with tasks where appropriate.
• Adapt to the needs of different classes and school environments.
• Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.
