Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in the Liverpool area. The role requires a QTS qualification and a commitment to delivering high-quality Maths lessons to secondary students in a vibrant school setting.

The position is a temporary, long-term contract with full-time working hours 8:00am–4:00pm. Start date is as soon as possible, with pay at scale and opportunities to develop within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training can be provided).
• Right to Work in the UK.
• Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
• Ability to provide two professional references.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons to secondary school students.
• Develop and implement creative lesson plans that cater to varying student needs.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
• Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student achievement.
