Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to work within a secondary school in Liverpool. This is a full-time opportunity with pay matched to the Teachers' Pay Scale (MPS/UPS).

Open to experienced teachers or Early Career Teachers (ECT); the role involves planning and delivering maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, creating an inclusive learning environment, and collaborating with staff to support pupil outcomes. DBS checks and right to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Mathematics within UK secondary schools.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths education.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire young people.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
• Differentiate learning to meet the needs of pupils of varying abilities.
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
• Support students in developing confidence and resilience within Mathematics.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers to support pupil outcomes.
