Job summary

Supply Desk is recruiting for a Secondary Cover Supervisor position in Rickmansworth. The role involves supervising classes, delivering prepared materials, and supporting learners across Key Stages 3 and 4. A DBS check is required, with weekly payments and ongoing support from local education consultants.

The ideal candidate can build positive relationships, manage diverse pupil needs, and maintain a constructive learning environment on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational or similar setting.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes and ensure students remain focused and engaged with the work provided by the classroom teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and provide appropriate support to students where required.
• Use a variety of approaches to support learners of differing abilities and learning styles.
• Create a positive classroom environment where students feel motivated, supported, and confident to learn.
• Monitor student behaviour and maintain high standards of discipline in line with the school's policies and expectations.
• Work closely with teaching staff and colleagues to ensure continuity of learning and support student progress.
• Promote high standards of behaviour, effort, and participation across all lessons.
