Job summary

Ribbons & Reeves in Rochford is seeking a reliable Secondary Cover Supervisor to join their school-based team on a temp-perm basis ASAP. The role involves supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher and delivering pre-prepared work to keep students engaged.

You will gain valuable classroom management experience across different subjects and year groups, with opportunities to develop behaviour management skills in a supportive, well-established secondary school environment.

Qualifications

• Previous school-based experience, ideally as a Cover Supervisor, Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or similar
• Graduate with genuine interest in developing a career in education
• Confident managing a classroom and maintaining high expectations of behaviour
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to deliver pre-planned lessons and keep students engaged
• Resilient, organised and adaptable
• Builds positive relationships with students and staff
