Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting Cover Supervisors for current and upcoming opportunities across secondary schools throughout the Wirral. You do not need to be a qualified teacher to work as a Cover Supervisor, and previous experience with secondary pupils is highly desirable.

Roles include daily supply, short-term cover and longer-term placements, offering flexibility and steady work across multiple schools. Strong classroom management and confident engagement with pupils are key.

Qualifications

• Previous school experience is highly desirable.
• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils is preferred.
• Ability to manage classes and maintain a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Deliver pre-prepared work in the absence of the classroom teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and keep pupils on task.
• Provide support and guidance with the work provided.
• Follow school policies and report back to staff on engagement.
