Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking an ambitious Science Teacher to join a Colchester secondary school from January. You will deliver high-quality lessons across Biology, Chemistry and Physics for KS3/KS4, creating engaging experiences and supporting pupil progression.

The role emphasizes clear routines, positive behaviour, and accurate assessment to identify where additional support is needed. You will collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons, prepare practicals, and contribute to GCSE

Qualifications

• Degree in Science or a relevant subject and eligible to work in the UK.
• QTS, PGCE or recognised teaching qualification.
• Proven ability to teach Science at KS3 and KS4.

Responsibilities

• Teach Science across KS3 and KS4 delivering Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Plan engaging, differentiated lessons with practical and investigative activities.
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to guide improvement.
• Contribute to the Science department’s planning and GCSE preparation.
