Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group is seeking a reliable Science Technician for a secondary academy in Barking & Dagenham. You will prepare and maintain equipment and resources for Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, ensuring labs are safe and ready for lessons.

You will support teachers during practical sessions and manage stock while adhering to health and safety regulations. Previous lab or school-based experience is desirable but training can be provided.

Qualifications

• Lab / school experience in a science setting.
• Familiarity with handling equipment, chemicals and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain and organise equipment, chemicals and resources for Biology, Chemistry and Physics lessons.
• Provide technical support during practical activities and ensure laboratories are safe and well-equipped.
• Maintain stock levels and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Work closely with teaching staff to support delivery of practical science lessons.
