Job summary

Salford City Council is seeking a Recruitment & Talent Advisor on a fixed-term 12-month contract. You will deliver an end-to-end, fair and inclusive recruitment service for candidates, managers, schools and external partners, handling advertising, onboarding and safeguarding checks.

You will work at pace, build trusted relationships, advise on recruitment and pre-employment checks, produce employment contracts, and support managers with the online recruitment system.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a fast paced recruitment or HR environment
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise under pressure
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Knowledge of UK Right to Work and eligibility checks
• Understanding of safeguarding practices and DBS processes
• Experience using HR or recruitment systems and Microsoft Office
• Comfortable to contact customers over the phone as needed

Responsibilities

• Delivering an end-to-end recruitment service that is fair, inclusive, and aligned to our values
• Advising managers on recruitment, safeguarding, and pre-employment checks
• Producing accurate employment contracts and ensuring compliance with legislation
• Supporting managers to use our online recruitment system effectively
• Responding to queries across phone, email, facetoface and virtual channels
• Be responsible for managing your own caseload, keeping to strict deadlines.
