The Park Hospital in Nottingham is seeking a Radiographer to join the Imaging team on a bank basis. You will cover plain film, X-ray and theatre screening, with the opportunity to work across a busy department and flexible shifts in Nottingham.

This role requires HCPC registration and a BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography, with experience in general radiography. A patient-centred approach and ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team are essential.

Qualifikationen

• BSc(Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
• HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
• Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment.
• Good understanding of IR(ME)R, health & safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centred approach.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Postgraduate experience or additional training in a specialist area desirable (e.g., CT, MRI, theatre imaging, mammography).

Aufgaben

• Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., general X-rays, theatre, fluoroscopy, mobiles) following referral and imaging protocols.
• Ensure high-quality images are produced to support accurate diagnosis, minimising the need for repeat exposures.
• Adapt techniques to meet the needs of individual patients, including paediatrics, bariatrics, and patients with limited mobility.
• Provide a safe, dignified, and person-centred service, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable, and reassured throughout their examination.
• Monitor patients' conditions during procedures and respond appropriately to any signs of deterioration.
• Ensure equipment is checked, maintained, and used safely and effectively, reporting faults promptly.
• Assist in the implementation and use of new imaging technologies, techniques, and digital systems (e.g., PACS, RIS).
• Work closely with radiologists, consultants, nurses, porters, and admin teams to coordinate care efficiently and maintain smooth patient pathways.
