Job summary

Confidential, based in Maidstone, is recruiting an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their busy finance team on an ongoing temporary basis. The role requires handling high volumes of supplier invoices and supporting the accounts payable function to ensure accurate processing.

You will match, code and batch invoices, reconcile payments and respond to supplier queries in a fast-paced environment. This full-time, Monday to Friday role starts ASAP, with immediate availability advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Match, batch and code a high volume of supplier invoices.
• Match invoices against purchase orders and delivery notes.
• Carry out payment reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve invoice and payment queries.
• Ensure invoices are processed and paid within agreed terms.
• Maintain accurate Purchase Ledger records.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments.
• Support the wider finance team with ad-hoc duties.
