Job summary

St Matthias CE Primary School in Malvern is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support across Early Years to KS2, including children with additional needs. The role is 27.5 hours per week plus 2.5 hours lunch cover, term-time only, fixed term for 1 year. Experience across the primary range and SEN knowledge are essential.

Salary is pro-rata, TA2 (Points 5-6) with pro-rata annual salary. Closing date 8 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children across the primary age range is essential.
• Knowledge of Special Educational Needs is essential.
• Post may be initially in Early Years, but skills across the Primary range are welcome.

• Be a good classroom practitioner.
• Be sensitive to the needs of individual learners.
• Be enthusiastic and determined to make learning fun.
• Have experience leading evidence-based interventions (e.g., Phonics, Maths, Reading).
