Job summary

Mercian Educational Trust is seeking a Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Special Educational Needs at our Malvern Vale site. The role is fixed-term (until July 27) with 30 hours per week and includes 1:1 SEND support for KS1/KS2, plus a breakfast duty on Thursdays.

Start date Monday 30th November or as soon as possible after. The successful candidate will assist with curriculum delivery, use IT for learning, monitor progress, and work closely with parents and staff to promote

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school.
• Experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs.
• Experience of using assessment packages to record pupil data.
• IT literacy and confidence with IT for teaching and management.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of materials and delivery of the curriculum, including IT use.
• Direct group activities within and away from the classroom.
• Assist with assessment of children's progress.
• Support academic, medical, personal, social and behavioural needs.
