Job summary

Pontefract, West Yorkshire-based position with Reed Education for a Teaching Assistant. Full-time, long-term starting September in a welcoming primary setting. You will support KS1 and KS2, delivering engaging lessons and interventions to help pupils access the curriculum.

The role focuses on teamwork, safeguarding and contributing to a positive school environment, with weekly pay and competitive daily rates. A DBS check is required and Reed Education supports ongoing CPD.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
• Ability to support pupils across KS1 and KS2.
• Proactive, adaptable and able to use own initiative.
• Strong communicators who build positive relationships with pupils and staff.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning in the classroom.
• Work with small groups and individual pupils.
• Provide targeted interventions where required.
• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
• Encourage pupil confidence, independence and development.
