Job summary

Reed Education are currently partnering with a welcoming primary school in Pontefract seeking an experienced and passionate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis from September.

You will support pupils across KS1 and KS2, help create engaging learning experiences, and work with small groups and individuals to ensure all children access the curriculum. The school values staff, supports development, and offers a positive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a primary school environment
• Confidently support children across KS1 and KS2
• Proactive, adaptable and able to use initiative
• Strong communication and relationship-building with pupils and staff
• Reliable, enthusiastic and committed to making a difference

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning within the classroom
• Work with small groups and individual pupils
• Provide targeted interventions as required
• Support pupils with varying learning needs and abilities
• Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
