Job summary

Cover People are seeking Primary Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to work across primary schools in Trafford. These opportunities are mainly day-to-day and short-term supply, with pay of £130-£170 per day depending on experience.

Longer-term placements may also become available. You would teach across year groups, follow school planning, and work with Teaching Assistants. Applicants should have QTS or a relevant qualification and be able to adapt quickly to different schools.

Qualifications

• QTS or an appropriate teaching qualification
• Primary teaching experience, including recent school placements
• Confidence delivering lessons independently
• Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills
• The ability to adapt quickly to different schools and year groups
• Good communication and organisational skills
• A positive and professional approach
• A genuine commitment to supporting children's learning and development
• Mainly day-to-day and short-term supply opportunities

Responsibilities

• Taking responsibility for a class during planned teacher absence
• Delivering lessons using existing school planning and resources
• Adapting activities to support different abilities and learning needs
• Supporting pupils' academic and wider development
• Working alongside Teaching Assistants and other school staff
• Maintaining continuity of learning throughout the school day
• Building positive relationships with pupils and staff
