Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting a Postal Delivery Driver for Royal Mail in New Ferry on a temporary contract. Earn £13.69 per hour for a 30‑hour week, Monday to Friday with weekend availability.

Shifts run 09:00 to 16:00, performing deliveries on foot or by vehicle and working from the local delivery office. You will lift bags up to 16 kg and parcels up to 20 kg, use a handheld device for signatures, and navigate routes for efficient delivery.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (6 points max; clean licence preferred) and held for 6 months.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Start shift at the local delivery office to sort and load deliveries.
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation.
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle, up to 8 miles per day.
• Lift mail bags up to 16 kg and parcels up to 20 kg.
• Use delivery trolleys when required.
