Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting a Postal Delivery Driver in Chester to support Royal Mail on a temporary basis. The role runs 9am–3pm, Monday to Friday, with weekend availability and involves sorting, loading, and delivering mail on foot or by vehicle.

You will use a handheld device for signatures and navigation, and handle items weighing up to 20 kg, with routes covering up to eight miles daily. Immediate start offered.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (6 points max; clean licence preferred)
• Previous delivery or driving experience beneficial but not essential
• Excellent time management and customer service skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load deliveries
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation
• Deliver letters and parcels on foot and by vehicle, walking up to 8 miles daily
• Lift and carry mail bags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg
• Use delivery trolleys when required
