Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a dedicated educator to lead a Personal Development programme for learners aged 16–19. The role combines classroom teaching with curriculum development, delivering about 12–14 hours per week and ensuring content remains relevant and engaging.

You will develop and deliver PSHE-style content, review resources, and foster discussion, reflection and critical thinking while addressing sensitive topics with tact and inclusivity.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering Personal Development/PSHE to young people.
• Ability to discuss sensitive topics with learners.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Interest in developing curriculum rather than just delivering existing materials.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Personal Development / PSHE sessions to 16–19-year-old learners.
• Review, develop and improve existing curriculum content and teaching resources.
• Create well-structured learning that encourages discussion, reflection and critical thinking.
• Confidently facilitate sensitive or challenging topics in an appropriate and balanced way.
• Adapt sessions to meet the needs of different learners.
• Use learner feedback, research and current issues to keep content fresh and relevant.
• Support and develop other staff involved in delivering the programme.
• Help maintain high standards across Personal Development provision.
