Wayman Education is seeking an energetic PE Teacher for a permanent, full-time role in Wolverhampton. The position covers KS3–KS4 and requires QTS with PE/sports qualifications.

You will deliver engaging PE lessons, promote teamwork and healthy living, and support pupil wellbeing in a dynamic secondary school setting. Starting January 2027, the role offers a competitive MPS/UPS based on experience and school pay arrangements.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS and a PE or sports-related qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in PE and practical teaching skills.
• Ability to motivate pupils with varied sporting interests and abilities.
• Demonstrates effective behaviour management and organisational skills.
• Understands safety in practical PE lessons.
• Enthusiastic about promoting participation and pupil wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging practical and theoretical PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach a range of sporting activities and physical skills.
• Promote teamwork, sportsmanship, resilience and healthy living.
• Plan lessons accommodating different levels of ability and experience.
• Monitor pupil progress and assess practical performance.
• Maintain safe working practices during sporting activities.
• Encourage participation in extracurricular sport and school activities where appropriate.
