Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
• Strong safeguarding knowledge and professional conduct expectations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Warm, patient, proactive approach with high expectations for pupil behaviour.
• Flexibility and collaboration across classroom activities.
• Ability to support learning in group and one-to-one settings.
• Experience in international or diverse school environment (desirable).
• Additional language skills relevant to the school location (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Support class teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons.
• Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist in creating a stimulating, well-organised classroom environment.
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Observe, record, and share student progress with staff.
• Supervise pupils during breaks, lunch, trips and events.
• Assist with learning materials, classroom displays, and resources.
• Contribute to routines, transitions, and day-to-day organisation.
• Uphold safeguarding policies at all times.
