Job summary

Ewell Castle School invites an energetic PE coach to join our vibrant PE department. You will plan, organise and coach Games afternoon lessons and co-curricular activities under the guidance of the Director of Sport, supporting class teachers and maintaining sport displays and equipment.

You will lead one age-group team per term, publish weekly match reports, liaise with Heads of Sport on team selection, and help run lunchtime sessions and school fixtures, while upholding safeguarding and the

Responsibilities

• Plan, organise and coach Games afternoon lessons and co-curricular activities under the guidance of the Director of Sport.
• Support class teachers in the delivery of core PE and Games, preparing resources, setting up sessions and working with smaller support groups where necessary.
• Maintain PE displays and update sport display boards.
• Maintain match kits and sports equipment weekly.
• Maintain and update ECS PE social media accounts on a weekly basis.
• Lead one age group team within the school. (U12 - U15) per term.
• Liaise with the Heads of Sport on team selection.
• Publish the team and important information via the school sports website.
• Write a weekly match report for the teams that you coach.
• Act as a support coach to other school team squads during timetabled games lessons and cocurricular sessions.
• Run lunchtime cocurricular sessions and officiate school fixtures as required.
• Produce logs of GCSE and A Level compulsory morning sessions and team training and report absence to the Director of Sport.
• Liaise with team captains to collate weekly match reports
• To be aware of and abide by safeguarding policies.
