Job summary

BRITISH HEART FOUNDATION is seeking a part-time Warehouse Assistant in Banbury to support our fast-paced retail operation. The role involves sorting, checking and preparing donated furniture and appliances for sale, while ensuring the shop floor is well stocked and compliant with safety standards.

You will work across 7 days per week on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays. The role is 14 hours per week on a 3-month fixed-term contract, offering a hands-on, team-driven environment

Qualifications

• Previous retail experience isn’t essential.
• Confident working within a team and able to guide volunteers
• Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail in everything you do
• Comfortable with hands-on manual work moving large items/stock

Responsibilities

• Organising donated items and preparing them for sale/handling and moving deliveries.
• Ensuring the shop floor is well stocked at all times
• Adhering to safety regulations and promoting wellbeing in all tasks
• Identifying unsaleable donations for recycling
• Keeping the stockroom organised and tidy
