Job summary

Magherafelt Integrated Nursery School is seeking a Nursery Teacher on a fixed-term, part-time contract (Mon and Tue) in the Derry/Londonderry area. The post requires a recognised teaching qualification and an Early Years focus, with GTCNI registration expected before appointment.

You will plan and deliver high-quality early years education, assess pupil progress, and collaborate with colleagues and parents to support each child's development within a caring, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Hold a teaching qualification recognised for grant-aided schools in NI.
• Specialise in Early Years or include Early Years in your training.
• Be registered with the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (GTCNI) before starting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare lessons and courses for nursery pupils.
• Teach according to pupils' educational needs and assess progress.
• Promote pupils' wellbeing and monitor development and attainment.
• Communicate with parents and collaborate with staff to support learning.
• Administer safeguarding, behaviour, and safety in line with policy.
• Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and staff development.
