Job summary

Emerald Teaching LTD is recruiting an experienced Nursery Teacher for a welcoming primary school in the Bury area. The role runs from January 2027 until the summer holidays and is a full-time position leading the school's Nursery provision for children aged 2-3.

You will deliver engaging age-appropriate learning experiences, support early development and supervise Nursery staff within a busy nursery environment, while maintaining high safeguarding and inclusive practice standards.

Qualifications

• QTS required and relevant Nursery/EYFS teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.
• Experience leading or supervising Nursery/EYFS staff.
• Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management.
• Positive, proactive and nurturing approach to early years.children

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging learning activities aligned with EYFS.
• Lead and support a team of Nursery and Early Years staff.
• Oversee day-to-day running of the Nursery provision.
• Create a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
• Monitor children's progress and support individual development needs.
• Build positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues.
• Ensure high standards of safeguarding, wellbeing and inclusive practice.
