Job summary

GSL Education in Gateshead is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to support young children in a safe, nurturing environment. You will deliver play-based activities, promote EYFS learning and build strong relationships with families and staff.

The role offers flexible full-time, part-time and supply options, with emphasis on safeguarding and development of early years. Experience in nurseries and a caring attitude are valued.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Early Years or a related field.
• Demonstrate a caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Have a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.

Responsibilities

• Support children aged 0-5 years in a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.
• Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote learning through play.
• Encourage children's social, emotional and educational development.
• Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
• Support children's personal care needs where required.
• Observe, monitor and record children's progress.
