Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Secondary Cover Supervisor for a Norwich-based secondary school. You will deliver pre-planned lessons, support students with tasks, and help maintain a positive, safe learning environment.

This temporary role is ideal for graduates or staff seeking school experience. You will work under the guidance of teachers, manage classroom behaviour, and provide feedback on student progress. Weekly pay and ongoing agency support are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people in education or related roles is desirable.
• Strong behaviour management and classroom management skills.
• Confidence leading a classroom and engaging groups of students.
• Flexible, proactive, and professional approach.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across a variety of secondary subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies and expectations.
• Support students to stay engaged and on task throughout lessons.
• Create a positive, safe, and productive learning environment.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement and progress.
• Build positive relationships with students and staff across the school.
• Support wider school activities and duties where required.
