Job summary

Addleshaw Goddard's Manchester office is recruiting a Construction lawyer to join the non-contentious team, focusing on development, energy, infrastructure and complex procurement matters for public and private sector clients.

You will work on drafting and negotiating JCT, NEC and bespoke contracts, manage client relationships, and handle own matters with supervision, supporting Partners on market-leading matters across living, office, retail and transport sectors.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years’ PQE in non-contentious construction
• Focus on Real Estate Development
• Excellent drafting and document management capabilities

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice to high-calibre clients, including government bodies, funders, developers and contractors on high-profile projects and procurement strategies.
• Draft and negotiate construction and engineering contracts (JCT, NEC, bespoke).
• Autonomy with supervision, handling a range of matters and supporting Partners on complex cases.
• Engage with clients to manage relationships and contribute to business development.
• Play a significant role in key client work for the firm across multiple sectors.
