Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting an experienced Maths Teacher to join a Rhondda Cynon Taf secondary school for a full-time, long-term position. You will deliver Maths lessons, plan engaging sessions and prepare students for examinations in a supportive environment.

The role requires QTS or equivalent, strong Maths knowledge, and a commitment to inclusive education. EWC registration or willingness to obtain is expected, with DBS on Update Service preferred.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge in Maths.
• Experience teaching Maths in a secondary school setting.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• EWC registration or willingness to obtain.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Teaching Maths.
• Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons.
• Preparing students for relevant examinations and assessments.
• Differentiating lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs.
• Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintaining high expectations for learning and behaviour.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Maths department.
• Supporting students with ALN/SEN where required.
