Job summary

Aspire People are recruiting for an experienced Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in Rhondda Cynon Taf. This is a full-time, long-term position within a supportive school environment with opportunities for ongoing work.

The role involves teaching Maths to various ability groups, planning engaging lessons, and supporting students with ALN/SEN where required. EWC registration and an enhanced DBS are preferred. Competitive daily rate offered.

Qualifications

• QTS or relevant teaching qualification.
• Strong subject knowledge in Maths.
• Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging and well-structured lessons.
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• EWC registration or willingness to obtain.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Teaching Maths.
• Planning and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons.
• Preparing students for relevant examinations and assessments.
• Differentiating lessons to meet a range of abilities and learning needs.
• Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Maintaining high expectations for learning and behaviour.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Maths department.
