Job summary

Designer Group seeks a Quantity Surveyor for Norfolk to support commercial management on M&E projects with a focus on electricals. You will handle sub-contract orders, risk analysis, and cost control reporting while contributing to monthly commercial reviews and client relationship development.

The role requires a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent and 2–4 years’ experience in a similar position, with strong Excel and BOQ tool proficiency.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• 2–4 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience on M&E projects, with focus on Electrical.
• Proficient with Excel; experience with bill of quantities tools and cost reporting.

Responsibilities

• Place sub-contract orders with the relevant Manager/Buying Department.
• Evaluate sub-contract terms focusing on risk, program, terms & conditions, and design responsibility.
• Prepare Tender Risk Analysis and contract documentation incl. bill of quantities.
• Run accurate commercial cost control reports and present monthly updates.
• Assist the Commercial Director in monthly commercial reports and assist Estimation on estimates.
• Maintain client relationships to maximise current and future opportunities.
