Job summary

Smile Education is recruiting for a Level 2 Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming East Hull primary academy from September 2026. This role is full-time, term-time only, with daily pay between £95 and £110 depending on experience.

The school belongs to the Enquire Learning Trust, providing strong support for staff and pupils. You will assist in delivering Early Years activities, support language and social development, and help maintain a safe, nurturing nursery environment, building

Qualifications

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification.
• Experience in UK nursery, preschool or primary school EY setting.
• Caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging Early Years learning activities.
• Help create a safe, nurturing and stimulating nursery environment.
• Encourage children's learning through play and exploration.
• Support children's personal, social, emotional and language development.
• Assist with observations and learning records.
• Promote positive behaviour and build relationships with children and families.
• Support children with varying learning needs to reach their potential.
• Assist with classroom preparation, resources and daily routines.
