Job summary

Lime Hills Academy is seeking Level 1 Teaching Assistants to support the educational, personal and social development of students under guidance. The role focuses on helping pupils access the curriculum, engage with learning, and reach their potential, with SEMH experience preferred.

It's a term-time position with 35 hours per week, 8:30am–4:00pm, Monday to Friday, plus INSET days. Ongoing training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2/3 in supporting teaching and learning or equivalent.
• First aid qualification to support pupil safety and wellbeing.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and training.
• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs is desirable.
• Understanding of classroom roles and how TAs support learning.

Responsibilities

• Support students to access the curriculum and engage with learning.
• Assist with delivering planned activities and teaching programmes.
• Manage behaviour in 1:1 or small groups using appropriate strategies.
• Collaborate with academy staff to provide inclusive learning experiences.
