Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking a highly motivated Secondary Maths Teacher to cover Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 on a fixed-term basis. The role involves planning, delivering, and assessing Maths across a full timetable for pupils aged 11-16, with opportunities for permanent progression.

The post offers pro-rata pay on the Main Pay Scale or UPS, weekly pay, CPD, and a collaborative department environment. This is a full-time temporary position within a supportive school setting.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS and a relevant degree in the teaching subject (or closely related field).
• Recent, demonstrable experience teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
• Exhibits excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality maths lessons.
• Full timetable of classes for ages 11-16.
• Use formative and summative assessment strategies to guide learning.
• Plan, prepare, and detailed marking for students.
• Contribute to schemes of work and provide timely feedback.
