Job summary

Festival Place in the United Kingdom is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our kitchen team with meal preparation, cooking to high standards, and maintaining a clean, well-organised workspace.

You'll follow food safety procedures, help with stock, and work well under pressure. Evening and weekend availability is preferred; prior kitchen or hospitality experience is nice-to-have, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work confidently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safe food handling.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Ability to remain calm and organised during busy periods.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• To run a kitchen independently.
• To prepare and cook food to the required standards.
• To ensure food is presented and served consistently.
• To follow all food hygiene, health and safety and allergen procedures.
• To maintain a clean, tidy and organised kitchen and food preparation areas.
• To ensure equipment and workstations are kept clean and used safely.
• To check, rotate and restock food supplies as required.
• To follow recipes, portion controls and kitchen procedures.
• To work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining high standards.
• To minimise food waste and use stock responsibly.
• To work closely with the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the centre.
• To assist in other departments when required.
