Job summary

The City of Liverpool College is seeking an IT and Computing Lecturer to inspire students within the Digital, Media & Expressive Arts Academy in Liverpool. The role demands current expertise in Cyber Security, Programming, Databases and AI, delivering cutting-edge curriculum and engaging learners across levels including L1-L3 and T-Levels.

You will join a college committed to innovative teaching, CPD and student success, with a focus on high standards, safeguarding and inclusive teaching

Qualifications

• Educated to Level 5 e.g. Degree or equivalent in Computer Science.
• Excellent computer literacy – ability to use the current IT programs of the College.
• Proven relevant experience of curriculum planning, development & delivery in IT/Computer Science.
• Good understanding of IT/Computer Science provision and CPD involvement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high quality lessons to achieve effective learning.
• Employ a range of teaching methods to engage and motivate students and promote independence.
• Track student progress and attendance in line with college policies.
• Liaise with Head of School to design programmes and teaching approaches to achieve high standards.
• Contribute to administration supporting teaching and assessment within the subject area.
• Identify and address additional student English and Maths skills development in the subject area.
