Job summary

NextGen Teachers is recruiting an ICT Teacher for a secondary school in Leeds. The role is initially temporary with potential for long-term commitment, starting ASAP.

You will deliver well-structured ICT lessons, support pupils across different abilities, and contribute to a positive learning environment. Ideal candidates will have QTS, experience teaching ICT or Computing at secondary level, and strong classroom management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching ICT or Computing at secondary level.
• Strong subject knowledge across ICT topics and curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons across relevant secondary year groups.
• Teach a range of digital skills and ICT concepts in line with the curriculum.
• Adapt lessons to meet varying pupil needs and abilities.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour and a positive learning environment.
• Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Encourage development of problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Use diverse teaching strategies and digital resources to enhance learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support department-wide success.
• Promote online safety and responsible use of technology.
