Job summary

Brackenhill Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our motivated team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role includes delivering lesson plans, providing cover across age ranges, and supporting the school’s ethos and learning goals.

The successful candidate will have HLTA level or be a cover supervisor ready to train, demonstrate excellent classroom practice, and be flexible to work at short notice; an interest in Music or PE would be desirable.

Qualifications

• Qualified to HLTA level or cover supervisor and willing to train to HLTA.
• Ability to deliver lesson plans effectively.
• Flexible and confident to undertake work at short notice.
• Confident to provide cover across the age range.

• Actively support the ethos, educational vision, policies and direction of the school.
• Demonstrate excellent classroom practice.
• Have high expectations of children’s achievement and behaviour.
• Have a good working knowledge of AFL and active, independent learning.
• Be enthusiastic and flexible.
• Be creative and able to motivate all children.
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
• An interest in Music or PE would be desirable.
• Willing to train as a first aider and fire marshal.
