Job summary

New Directions Holdings Limited is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in the Leeds area. You will deliver planned lessons, lead small group interventions, and support teachers to help each child reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have HLTA qualification or equivalent experience, UK primary school background, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a UK primary school.
• Strong classroom management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proactive and flexible.
• Passion for supporting children's learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality learning activities across EYFS, KS1 and/or KS2.
• Provide whole-class cover during teacher PPA, absence, or training.
• Support pupils with a range of learning needs.
• Deliver targeted interventions to raise attainment.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
