Job summary

Reed Education in Leeds is seeking an Experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a local network of primary schools. You will support students to access learning with warmth, clarity and patience, helping them to progress in a nurturing environment.

The role focuses on small-group and one-to-one support, assisting planning, and helping with behaviour management. You should have a current Enhanced DBS, be available from September, and bring a minimum of five years’ classroom experience;

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS certificate is required.
• Availability to start work from September.
• Minimum 5 years experience in education.
• Level 3 qualification ideal (Level 2 accepted).

Responsibilities

• Preparing the classroom for each session with fellow class teachers.
• Providing small-group or individual support to students as needed.
• Assisting teachers with planning and record-keeping.
• Supporting teachers in student behaviour management.
