Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistants to work across a range of primary schools in Newham. This role suits experienced HLTA professionals or strong Teaching Assistants aiming to progress into HLTA responsibilities.

All applicants should be prepared to deliver lessons, provide 1:1 and small-group support, and help manage pupil behaviour. The position offers flexible full-time hours in diverse school settings.

Qualifications

• HLTA experience is desirable and a strong TA with HLTA potential is encouraged.
• Experience as Teaching Assistant looking to progress into HLTA is welcomed.
• Experience working in a primary school setting is preferred.
• Confident in supporting different year groups across primary ranges.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills are essential.
• Reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to supporting learners.
• Passionate about helping children's learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Work across different primary schools in Newham.
• Support teachers and pupils across a range of year groups.
• Deliver lessons and activities when required.
• Provide classroom, small-group and 1:1 support.
• Help manage behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Work alongside teachers and school staff.
