Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust invites a Consultant in Clinical Haematology to join the team on a fixed-term NHS locum contract for 12 months, with 10 PAs per week to support both clinical and laboratory haematology services at Royal Blackburn and Burnley General.

The role requires GMC registration and a licence to practise, with CCT or near completion, and a commitment to teaching, research and service development within a busy regional Haematology department.

Qualifications

• GMC registration and licence to practise.
• Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or within six months of award.
• Experience in clinical haematology and laboratory services desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and laboratory haematology services across Royal Blackburn and Burnley General Hospital sites.
• Join the on-call rota and contribute to teaching and training within the Trust.
• Support development and delivery of haemato-oncology and laboratory services as part of the fixed-term NHS locum contract.
