Job summary

The Education Network Birmingham is seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a Wolverhampton secondary school from November 2026. You will teach Food & Nutrition across KS3 and KS4, delivering a mix of practical and theory lessons in a supportive environment.

The role focuses on developing students’ knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, safety and healthy eating, with strong emphasis on creativity, practical skills and safe working practices in the kitchen.

Qualifications

• Strong subject knowledge in Design Technology with a focus on Food & Nutrition.
• Proven ability to teach both practical and theory lessons to KS3 and KS4.
• Experience teaching food preparation, nutrition, food hygiene and healthy eating.
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4.
