Job summary

Alternative Futures Group is seeking a Financial Ledger Assistant to support the Financial Accountant in ensuring timely processing of sales invoices and accurate ledger maintenance. This is a fixed-term contract until March 2027, predominantly home-based with travel to our collaboration hub in Liverpool and other North West sites.

The role requires strong numerical ability and experience with sales ledgers, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers

Qualifications

• Proven experience within a Sales Ledger environment
• Able to work under pressure within strict deadlines
• Strong Excel skills to interpret large financial data
• Able to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain sales ledger accounts on the Finance System
• Process customer invoices accurately and timely
• Reconcile debtor accounts and post receipts promptly
• Raise invoices and credit notes in line with billing schedules
• Produce debtor reports and assist with cash flow forecasting
