Job summary

Teach Now is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Teacher to lead a Reception class in Barnet. You will work with experienced teaching assistants and the EYFS team to deliver high-quality learning experiences.

The role focuses on communication, early literacy and helping children develop confidence and independence, with planning aligned to the EYFS framework and strong family engagement.

Qualifications

• QTS is required.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework is essential.
• Confident understanding of early phonics and language development.
• Ability to identify and support children with additional learning needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan engaging learning opportunities in line with the EYFS framework.
• Assess children’s development and track progress.
• Build positive relationships with families and carers.
• Work with teaching assistants and the EYFS team to support learning.
• Create a warm, stimulating, well-organised classroom environment.
