Job summary

Operam Education is recruiting a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner for a welcoming primary school in Waltham Forest. The role is long-term with a genuine view to permanent for the right candidate, supporting Nursery and Reception teams.

You will lead activities, support routines and work with the EYFS lead to help children aged 3-5 learn through play. A DBS check is required and references will be requested.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years / Childcare is essential.
• Experience with 0-5 age range in a school or nursery setting.
• Understanding of the EYFS framework and play-based learning.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Two references covering the last two years

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the EYFS framework across Nursery and Reception.
• Lead focused activities with individuals and small groups, indoors and outside.
• Support children’s personal care, wellbeing, routines and independence.
• Work closely with the class teacher and children with additional needs when needed.
• Help create a stimulating, safe and well‑organised learning environment.
• Build warm, professional relationships with parents and carers.
