Job summary

Durham County Council is seeking a Teaching Assistant for Bowes Hutchinson's C of E VA Primary School in Bowes, County Durham. The role is part-time, 32.5 hours per week, temporary until 31 August 2027 with the possibility of extension.

The post initially supports EYFS/KS1 but flexibility to assist across the school is required. Applicants must have a qualification meeting the approved Early Years criteria and be able to work with English-speaking pupils. Visits to the school are welcome.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold a qualification that meets the approved 'full and relevant' criteria for Early Years qualifications and inclusion in staffing ratios.

Responsibilities

• Based in EYFS / KS1 initially, but able to support across the whole school as needed.
• Work flexibly to assist across Bowes Hutchinson's C of E VA Primary School and nursery setting.
