Job summary

Maiden Erlegh Trust is seeking a Classroom Teacher of English to join our staff on a fixed term maternity cover. You will plan and deliver engaging English lessons, contribute to curriculum development and support students to reach their potential.

You will take on tutor responsibilities, promote wellbeing and inclusive practice, and work with colleagues, parents and carers to drive high standards and safe, ambitious learning environments across the school.

Qualifications

• Requires QTS and a relevant degree.
• Strong subject knowledge in English.
• Commitment to inclusion and supporting SEND and disadvantaged students.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management.

Responsibilities

• Plan, resource and deliver engaging English lessons.
• Support student wellbeing, attendance and progress.
• Tutor responsibilities and contribute to safeguarding and policy.
