Job summary

Moulton College is seeking a passionate Teacher of English to join our supportive team. You will teach GCSE English and Functional Skills Level 2, inspiring learners and supporting them to achieve their qualifications.

You will work with curriculum colleagues to plan engaging lessons, monitor progress and promote positive behaviour in the classroom. Interviews start week commencing 9 November 2026. A commitment to safeguarding and willingness to work towards qualifications is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have GCSE Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.
• Diploma in Teaching and Learning or Certificate in Education.
• Commitment to CPD and professional development.
• Ability to teach Functional Skills Level 2.

Responsibilities

• Teach a diverse range of learners to develop English skills and achieve relevant qualifications (GCSE and Functional Skills).
• Work collaboratively with curriculum teams to ensure timely progress and effective learning.
• Provide guidance and support to learners and promote positive behaviour in the classroom.
• Contribute to curriculum development to meet evolving student needs and align with college priorities.
