Job summary

St Philip's School is seeking a dynamic English Teacher to inspire learning for students with learning difficulties across KS2 to KS5. This role emphasizes high attainment, planning rigor and reporting accuracy to support diverse learners in a nurturing environment.

You will collaborate with staff and parents to promote the school's values and ensure strong progress for every pupil, in line with Teachers’ Standards and school policies.

Qualifications

• Relevant bachelor’s degree and teaching qualification (QTS) required.
• Experience of teaching secondary aged students.
• Experience delivering recognised English accreditations.
• Good knowledge of changes to the National Curriculum.
• Ability to build strong working relationships with school staff.
• Commitment to high standards across academic, social and emotional aspects.

Responsibilities

• Teach English across Key Stages 2 to 5 with clear planning and assessment.
• Ensure progress and outcomes for every learner, including those with learning difficulties.
• Maintain positive ethos and core values inside and outside the classroom.
• Contribute to team building with teaching staff, parents and governors.
• Work in line with Teachers' Standards and school policies.
